Smokey Oaks K9 was officially launched in January 2020, although I have been training dogs for the last 15 years. After many years of working under someone else, my move to the Carolinas in 2018 inspired me to start my own business.
The business is run by myself, and my incredible husband Christian. You may see him with me at private lessons, or sometimes in training videos, but he is a critical part of the behind the scenes happenings here at Smokey Oaks. He helps me with whatever I need from cleaning crates, training, walking dogs, or helping with grumpy dogs, I couldn't do it without him.
They say it takes a village, well that is true in dog training as well. I wouldn't be where I am today, without the people who have helped me along the way, but most importantly, I couldn't continue without the support of some other amazing trainers and dog people.
Below is a list of some of the other trainers I work with. I do not know everything, and I think it is critical for trainers to always network with others so we can help as many dogs as possible. There is no room for egos in dog training and I am always humble enough to admit when I don't know something. I am lucky enough to have these people in my village to help support me.
